Special automatic machines: Grinding for needle printheads

Our GRD-BR-4 is a special automatic grinding and brushing machine used in the production of impact printheads.
It is used at the end of the printhead assembly process to obtain both the flatness of the needle end and the complanarity of all needles. It also allows you to obtain the final dimension of the needles with respect to the reference and fixing points of the head and/or the final needle guide.

The machine is designed for:

• grinding the needles
• at a predetermined dimension
• in a number of programmable cycles
• with programmable material removal
• brush needles to eliminate grinding residuals

A special sensor allows to grind the needles to the desired dimension without the need for measurements, while a special electronics energizes the individual needles with programmable sequences to facilitate brushing.
A camera with video allows you to view needles at the end of the brushing process.

An operator panel allows you to program the machine's working parameters and control the entire process.

The machine is easily customizable to adapt to different head models: both as regards the attachment of the head itself and in terms of number, size and geometry of the needles.

A version without a brush station is also available.
